(Junior) Project Manager

About us

Laboremus Uganda creates financial technology solutions for clients in East Africa and Europe. We help large banks, financial institutions, and start-up banks get digital. Leveraging our expertise, we also bring financial technology to the underserved: alone and in partnership with others. We believe digital financial services should be tailored, simple, and accessible for everyone.

Laboremus Uganda is part of the Laboremus Group which was founded in Norway in 1996. Today, the group has offices in Norway, Serbia and Uganda.

What you would do

As a Junior Project Manager, your workday is filled with a multitude of tasks. Concretely, your responsibilities include:

  • You will work with our developers, business analysts and user experience teams to develop and execute projects according to developed plans.
  • You will work closely with the product manager to ensure that projects are delivered in time, scope and within budget.
  • You will do day-to-day task and resource management on the projects you work on.
  • You will be a conduit of information between all the project stakeholders.
  • You will monitor and report on the project progress to all project stakeholders.


In order to join our team, we have some requirements we need you to meet in order for us to know that you are most definitely one of us!


  • A degree preferably in a STEM field from an accredited university
  • 1- 4 years of relevant work experience. Experience working in the software development field is a plus.
  • A good understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
  • A very strong growth mindset and be a fast learner


  • Task management in a software development field using tools like Jira and Trello
  • Documentation creation and sharing experience using Confluence
  • Previous experience working in the fintech space within East Africa
